Novotel London Bridge Hotel

We slept really well in the modern, quiet room. The hotel itself was lovely and spacious, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It's an easy walk to The Globe and Borough Market, with buses easy to get to as well.

Our room was ready even though we arrived early, and the service was great. Having a restaurant and bar on site was a nice bonus. The one small annoyance was that there was no ceiling light by the bedroom entrance, leaving the wardrobe and mirror area quite dark and difficult to use. The location is great, about a five-minute walk from the Southbank. This was our second visit, and we'll be back.

Getting around was easy, with buses and the tube nearby, and the excellent location made travelling with our children much simpler. We stayed at Novotel London Bridge with our family, including two children and our four-month-old baby. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the whole stay was very positive. We'd happily come back.

The open-plan bathroom layout was awkward. Without a separate bathroom, privacy was tricky when I was travelling with my husband and teenage son. The beds and pillows were comfy, and not too soft. There was a small problem with our booking on arrival, but the lovely front desk staff member sorted it out efficiently. The downstairs lobby is really nice, and the restaurant is a great option for snacks, drinks, or a late-night dessert. Borough Market is a short walk away with excellent food options, and there are good breakfast places nearby if you don't want to buy breakfast every day. The location also makes it easy to reach major landmarks. Overall, a great stay.
