Prince Regent Hotel Excel London

The front desk management was superb, honestly 10/10. The room was an okay size, and though the bathroom was quite small, it was very clean. Breakfast wasn’t really to my taste. It was freshly made to order, but I didn’t think the texture or quality was the best. Overall, it was okay, and management was great.

The room was clean and a good size, and the price for the location was exceptional. There’s free fresh fruit in the lobby, a shared kitchen and an elevator, which meant no hauling luggage upstairs for once in London. The check-in desk guy was really nice and helpful. It’s super close to LCY airport and Excel, with a direct bus to both, or a walk if you don’t have much luggage. There’s a laundromat across the road, plus local shops and a nearby park with a playground.

The staff I met at check-in and checkout were friendly. I was staying in a separate building down the road, so those were my only interactions. I also appreciated the fruit and water at reception, a thoughtful touch. The mattress was really bad, and my back started hurting on the second day. It needs replacing soon. The hotel is in an old British house, and it was noisy. I woke whenever someone else left the building and struggled to get back to sleep. Excel London is about a 15-minute walk away, but there isn’t much else around.

For the price, this is an excellent place to stay. The rooms are very clean, the staff are friendly, and the internet is fast. There’s free parking, frequent buses right outside, and the DLR is a ten-minute walk away for connections into central London. You can also use the kitchen.
