Strand Palace Hotel

The room was quiet, so we slept well, and the bed was very comfortable. We were glad to have air conditioning, and the sliding window doors kept the room dark at night. The shower door shut fully, which kept our things dry. The doormen were friendly and helpful. We had a comfortable stay and would come back.

Strand Palace is a fairly average, dependable hotel, but the location is excellent for getting around London on foot or by public transport. The bed was very comfortable, and the gym had more equipment than I expected, enough for a decent workout. I didn’t eat there, so I can’t say anything about the food. It was a comfortable stay, though nothing particularly memorable or special.

The service really stood out. Hotel and restaurant staff were attentive and ready to help whenever we needed them. The rooms are a little small, but seemed fine by European lodging standards. The Strand Palace is well placed for Covent Garden, Embankment, and Charing Cross stations, though each was about a 10-minute walk, so we had to plan ahead a bit. We had a great stay!

We only stayed one night, and the room was small but comfortable, with a great night’s sleep. The location was fantastic, within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. When we booked, the reservations team was very helpful and handled our changes brilliantly. Service was excellent for a busy London hotel. The bar drink voucher and Strand-branded chocolate in the room were a nice touch, and there was a good choice of food at the buffet breakfast.
