The Angus Hotel

The room was very clean and good value for the money, especially for a short stay. It’s in a great location. The bathroom is extremely small, and you can hear some noise, but overall it worked well.

The location is ideal if you need to catch a train. Just be ready for a truly tiny room. Ours was okay for a single night, but we couldn’t have managed longer. It was smaller than our closet at home, with nowhere to put luggage, so we kept tripping over our cases while getting in and out of bed. There were only two towels and no hand towels, and the beds were hard.

You can check in at any time, but our evening arrival wasn’t very pleasant because the night porter wasn’t especially friendly. Daytime service was good, though. The location is superb, about a three minute walk from St.pancras station, with restaurants and bars nearby. The floor felt a little wobbly, which comes with an old house, I suppose. The pillows were quite stiff, and the shower in our twin ensuite was narrow.

The staff were really nice, and I’d be happy to stay at this hotel again. The bed was super comfortable, the water pressure was strong, and it was a pleasant surprise to find the room serviced every morning. The room itself was quite small, and the walls are thin enough that you can easily hear the neighbours next door. It suits someone looking for a good rest and sleep between exploring London. One thing to bear in mind: getting up the narrow corridor stairs with my huge luggage was a struggle, so I wouldn’t recommend bringing big bags.
