The Gate London City

The lounge was a lovely place to relax, and the overall atmosphere, comfort, and service made the stay feel like a complete experience. I had a wonderful one-night visit at The Gate Hotel London. The staff were welcoming and professional, and everything from check-in through check-out went smoothly. The modern, clean hotel was well maintained, and my comfortable room had all the equipment I needed. Sheful and Mohammed Hasan deserve a special mention for their kindness and attentiveness. They went above and beyond, and their warm service made a real difference. I'd happily recommend the hotel to anyone visiting London and look forward to returning. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

The hotel is beautifully decorated and well located near the metro and shops, and I felt very comfortable there. The room standard and view were great, though I did notice some dust. Breakfast was tasty, but when I went down at 10 a.m., with service running until 11 on weekends, the coconut yogurt was already gone. Other things weren't replenished either. They should restock more often when items run out before breakfast ends.

I was impressed by the breakfast. I hadn't expected such a good spread in an aparthotel: avocado and avocado spreads, a smoothie you could make yourself, eggs to boil, scrambled eggs ready to eat, and a good choice of bread. The lounge was another favorite, a relaxing spot to sit with friends or other hotel guests. There were a few free drinks and a little outdoor terrace. This was my first stay at The Gate, and I loved the room, especially its layout and all the details and amenities. The view was fantastic too. Everyone I met around the hotel was warm and friendly. I'd definitely come back.

The room had a great city view through its floor-to-ceiling windows, and the bed was spacious and comfortable, so I slept really well. It was a good size for two, and the setup felt homey. Everything seemed thought through, from the fully stocked kitchen with utensils and quality glassware to the complimentary water and full-sized toiletries in the bathroom. A short walk from Aldgate East tube station, the hotel has a cozy reception area with a bar. A lovely staff member welcomed me, handled check-in courteously, and gave me a complimentary drink voucher for the bar.
