The terrace was the best part of the pub, especially in the evening sun with a view over the River Thames. The drinks selection was good and surprisingly reasonably priced, and the staff were lovely. At my age, being asked for ID is quite a compliment.

I felt embarrassed and hurt by how I was treated. I'm a single, 50 year old woman visiting Kingston, and after going to the lovely open air market and buying a sandwich from a local vendor, I walked along the Riverwalk. On a beautiful day, London's first warm one in months, I didn't want to take an outdoor table by myself, so I bought a pint at The Gazebo and sat inside in a corner to leave space for other guests. I could see nobody eating in the pub, just people drinking and chatting, so I thought it would be okay to have a bite of my sandwich. A man I assume was the owner or a manager rushed over, appalled, and said I couldn't eat outside food there under any circumstances. I apologized and offered to take it outside, but he said I couldn't eat non-Gazebo food "inside, outside, nowhere". I was simply trying to be a customer and had bought a pint like everyone else. It was a hurtful experience.

We had a great time on Bank holiday Monday. The young red headed waitress/bartender was amazing and made us feel welcome. @TheGazeboPub… give her a pay rise, or… just lots of tips guys 👍 The vibe was relaxed, perfect for a summer pint 😊

I hadn't been to Kingston for a while, so it was a treat to get out on such a sunny day. On a hot day when I had time for lunch, I headed down to the river and came across the Gazebo. They welcomed me warmly. There were lots of outdoor tables to choose from, and you find a table before placing your order. The menu was good, the food was good, and the river views were fabulous. Service was great, with professional, friendly staff.

The Sunday lunch looked so good that the four of us ordered some after stopping in for a drink. We were glad we did, the portions were generous and the food was great. The staff were really helpful, and there was a good range of drinks too. It's a dog friendly pub by the river. I'd happily recommend it.
