The people are what keep bringing me back to The Landmark. On my recent birthday stay, there was a small disruption at the start, but the team handled it so well that it ended up changing the whole feel of the visit. Tim in Concierge was welcoming, knew his stuff, and was always glad to help. Alex, one of the porters, made every interaction feel warm and full of personality. And Viktoriia in the Champagne Lounge took such thoughtful care of our family. Her attention and extra effort really stood out. The lovely character, central location, spacious rooms, and room service are all reasons I return, though plenty of London luxury hotels have similar facilities. It’s the staff who make The Landmark feel special and turn a nice stay into a memorable one. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

The room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, and the hotel had a welcoming atmosphere alongside all its elegance. From arrival, the team were kind, professional, and attentive, and the service stayed excellent throughout. The Landmark London is beautiful and feels both luxurious and relaxing. Its location made exploring London easy, while the hotel itself was a peaceful place to return to. I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back. Thanks to everyone for such a lovely visit 💗

We’ve been to hotels around London for Afternoon Tea twice a year, and we both want to return here. We weren’t staying overnight, but from the welcome at the door onwards, the staff made us feel like special guests. They were friendly, professional, and helpful, and the team got the attentiveness just right. We could choose where to sit, and the area was stunning. The Champagne Bar upstairs looks down onto the dining space, so it gives you another view of the setting. I definitely recommend going up to see it. The food was filling enough that we took the cakes home. We were offered more sandwiches, scones, and cakes, but had already had a few extra sandwiches and couldn’t fit any more. The scones were all delicious, with chocolate ganache as well as the usual jam and clotted cream. I can’t drink tea, so I was glad the infusion choices were different from those at other hotels. The Turkish Apple and Orange ones were amazing. A special thanks to Helmi and Louis, who each added something extra to the service.

The scones and jam were good, but we couldn’t have another scone, and none of our allocated food could be packed to take away. The food was cleared from the table very quickly. Sharing one pot of cream among four or five people also felt unreasonable, whether at a five-star venue or anywhere else. We were there for afternoon tea as a group, paying the same price as individual bookings, but the experience felt more limited. There were only four teas to choose from, and our request for refills was refused. We were also seated outside the main atrium, which is the venue’s standout space and a big part of its appeal. Most disappointing was the service. Requests were treated as an inconvenience, and the tone came across as condescending. For a place with this reputation, the hospitality was surprisingly poor. The setting has potential, but the visit didn’t feel worth the price. I’d be reluctant to return or recommend it for group bookings.

The location is excellent, and the interiors are impressive, with the classic British heritage and “old-money” look the hotel presents. But the way things were handled didn’t match what I expect of a five-star property. At checkout, tips had been added to my bill without me asking or giving explicit consent. Gratuities are a personal choice, and I prefer to give them directly based on the service I receive. The spa and swimming pool were closed, something I wasn’t told before booking. That’s a major omission for a hotel at this level. I was also holding a late-night business meeting in the lobby with an associate who was staying there too. Front desk staff interrupted us several times and clearly hinted we should leave because it was late. I found that unacceptable and frankly shocking in a hotel that claims to be business-friendly. Guests should be able to use the lobby for professional meetings at reasonable hours. The place looks luxurious, but the lack of transparency and the way guests are treated undermined my stay. It wasn’t the experience I expect from a true five-star hotel.
