The Z Hotel Covent Garden

The rooms are basic, but clean and presentable, just as expected. We even got a few little extras we hadn’t counted on, like bottled water. The service was fab. I stayed in November and lost my ring, but didn’t get in touch until the following year because I was sure it was somewhere at home. After exhausting every other option, I emailed the z hotel in covent garden as a last try. They replied straight away and had my ring! The team were so helpful and efficient. I’m honestly really impressed. Thanks to everyone at covent garden!!!! 😁

You can’t beat the location, right in Covent Garden and within walking distance of lots of theatres and tourist attractions. I was comfortable here as a solo traveller. The room is small, but the booking photos made that clear, and I was pleasantly surprised by the clever layout. I never felt cramped. I tried the breakfast buffet once and found it a little meagre. For the price, I’d rather pay a bit more and eat breakfast out. The free cheese and wine was nice, though.

The location is fantastic, right in the middle of everything, and the dark room with no windows helped us adjust to the time difference. It was very small, though, and a tight squeeze even with the basics we needed. I wish there had been somewhere in the bathroom to hang wet towels. Also, the top bunk's wooden frame was missing an end cap, leaving plywood under the plastic. My son caught his towel on it and cut it. I had bandages, so it wasn't a major problem, but it was annoying. The hotel was pretty much what we'd expected as visitors from abroad.

We stayed three nights at Hotel Z - Covent Garden last week, and I wouldn't recommend it. We ended up moving to other local places, where we were happier and saved £25. The room was tiny, housekeeping came only every other day, and the charging sockets didn't work properly. Breakfast cost over £40 for two and wasn't included. The food was basic, with bread and ham, microwave oatmeal, and nothing fresh like fruit. We were also charged £20 for checking in early and £15 for an extra keycard for my partner. It felt like they were trying to charge us for every little thing. I doubt I'd choose another Hotel Z either.
