Travelodge London Dagenham East

The furnishings and bedding were pretty good and in line with what you'd expect. The building is huge but mostly empty, so it's puzzling that there's no small area serving cooked breakfast. The shower pressure wasn't great, either. I've stayed here and at other Travelodge hotels a few times. For somewhere built so recently, this one is a little disappointing. My first stay was in summer, and the room was boiling. The air conditioning did little or nothing to cool it, and the windows only open a small amount. I really can't recommend staying here in warm weather. Later stays were more standard and okay. The service felt flat and a little miserable, but they did meet my requests. Given the convenience and price, I'd just about stay again, probably not when it's hot.

The rooms are good and clean, and the staff are polite. The coffee in the rooms is terrible, though. They should change suppliers. Van drivers, check that your vans are empty. Mine was broken into at London Dagenham two weeks ago. As always, I had no valuables in it, but the damage they caused was bad. A colleague's van was broken into this week at Dagenham East travelodge, also with nothing taken because there were no valuables, but his van was damaged too. That same evening, another van was broken into as well.

Just got back from the Travel lodge in Dagenham east with my husband and mother-in-law. We had the best experience, and I was impressed with everything. The staff were kind, really friendly and helpful. It was brilliant, and we'd go again. Thanks to all you lovely staff. Val Ayrton xxx

The room was clean, modern and newly refurbished, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The tube station is very good too. It was an easy, pleasant stay. Highly recommended.
