The big posters on the walls gave the place a great music feel, and the atmosphere was quite homely. The roast was filling, at £10,50 each, but the food was all very average. Nothing was bad, it was all good, just nothing I’d rush back for. If you’re after a Sunday roast, give it a go. The waitress was very sweet and polite, though possibly new as she didn’t know much. Our table was sticky, and the lemonade I was served was flat, which was disappointing. I asked for it to be taken off the bill. They kindly offered another from a fresh bottle, which seemed better, but I wondered why that hadn’t been served first. I’d say they may have been using up leftovers in an opened bottle, possibly from the day before.

We stopped in while passing through because we were hungry, and it was dog-friendly. The lady serving us was lovely. We each had a drink and some food, and both really enjoyed it, even though we weren’t expecting much. I had the chicken kebab and my husband had a burger. I’d recommend the food.

The best meal I had was the Tuesday carvery. It was honestly the best carvery I’ve ever had, couldn’t fault it, and you can go up as many times as you like. Can’t wait to return. The place is really lovely, with warm, friendly staff, good food and good beer. I’d recommend going any night of the week.

The burgers are made with real ground beef, and the salad was so good even though I usually hate salad. The food was truly beautiful, the best I’ve eaten in a long time. Service was fantastic, and the interior layout and design were beautiful. Amazing place, I’d definitely come again.
