The East End Arms

The rooms are cosy and had everything we could want, and breakfast was perfect. Everyone working there was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The restaurant next door serves delicious Guinness-braised ox cheek and a range of tasty desserts. The pub itself is a gorgeous little oasis, with real charm and a fireplace. They also have draught Guinness and cans of 0.0 💪🏻. Couldn’t ask for more. A big thank you to everyone at the East End Arms, highly recommend.

It had been a while since I’d been here, as I live some distance away, but I’m so glad my friend and I stopped in for lunch today. The place was warm, nicely presented, and had a great feel, with rock star pictures on the walls and fresh flowers on every table. We got a very warm welcome, and the staff were happy to accommodate my dietary needs without any fuss. Both of us got a great plate of food. Thanks to the staff and chef for making lunch so enjoyable. Looking forward to coming again xx

I only recently started coming here, but they made me feel welcome right away. I’ve got to know some of the regulars and bar staff, and even had the pleasure of meeting John himself. Dee Dee is lovely too, just like her Dad, warm and friendly. When I’m travelling home and pass this way, I always look forward to stopping in for a drink. We loved having breakfast each morning and a delicious three-course dinner both nights. The cottage gave us a great mix of B&B, self-catering, and pub meals, and we all felt at home straight away. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It’s a handy base for exploring the wider New Forest, and there are walks from the front door if you don’t mind setting off along the country lane. Parking gets busy, and it would help to mark the cottage spaces clearly, as a car parked across the garden gate makes getting in beside it a bit tight. We had a perfect two-night stay and would love to return, though it now seems you can only book a minimum of three nights.
