Highfield Bed & Breakfast

Maria and Frazer gave us such a warm welcome, explained how to use the front door, and went over breakfast times. There’s plenty of parking, and the B&B is just a short walk from the top of the High Street, with a great pub around the corner and all kinds of restaurants nearby. Our large room had a super king bed, big windows with lots of light, and it was lovely and warm. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was just right, with a great shower, big towels, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and lovely-smelling soap. The house was immaculate and looked freshly renovated, though apparently it wasn’t. We had tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, and chocolate by the kettle, plus a mini fridge with fresh milk and cold water. Breakfast was superb, with lots of choice. We can vouch for the fresh fruit and full English, and there were refills of tea and coffee in lovely big mugs. We had a great experience and will definitely be back.

We found out some interesting history about the house and how the owners came to be there. They made us feel very welcome during our two-night stay, and we’d gladly stay again if we visited Lymington. The hotel is beautifully furnished, with a stylish, thoughtfully designed feel throughout, and there’s bike storage too. It’s at the top of town, within easy walking distance of everything. Our room was beautifully appointed, with a comfortable bed and a fresh, stylish bathroom. Fresh milk and cold water in the fridge were very welcome, and the bath, shower, shampoo, and other toiletries were good quality. Breakfast was extensive, beautifully cooked and presented, and the fresh fruit was lovely.

The full English was as good as it gets, made with local produce and cooked nicely. Service was great too. What a gem, with beautifully finished rooms, a comfortable bed, and a great shower.

This was our second stay in no. 7, and Fraser and Maria are exceptional hosts. The room was spotless and breakfast was amazing. Roger rates it 20 out of 10, while Kathy especially loved the poached eggs. Relaxing on the patio was a bonus, as was the iced glass. You won’t find a better B&B, so don’t even try.
