Everything else was still shut, so we stopped in for an early breakfast and were so glad we did. The place is beautiful, recently renovated to a really warm and stylish standard. The new owners were lovely and welcoming, and breakfast was yummy with fantastic coffee overlooking the gorge. It’s dog-friendly too. A perfect start to the day, definitely recommend.

The location is fairly nice and the place was okay, but the owner seemed self-conscious about the house looking like a restaurant. When we said it looked like a nice place to eat, he followed us, shouting that he’d rip our heads off if we called it a restaurant again. I wouldn’t recommend staying there. I’ve also heard the owner has been reported to get rather angry with younger boys, perhaps because he feels threatened.

The rooms were spacious and clean, with wonderful views, and breakfast had a splendid choice. Jeannie and Jeremy were so attentive and charming, taking care of everything and making it easy for us to relax. A perfect spot for a peaceful holiday.

We stopped by on a sunny bank holiday for breakfast, cream tea and coffee. Sitting by the river was lovely, and the staff were so nice. The coffee was really, really good. 10/10, would recommend.

The bathroom was spacious and immaculately clean, and the shower had great pressure. Our room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. We had a lovely night at the LVGH with Jeremy and Jean. They’re charming and fun, and we enjoyed chatting after arriving off the trail and again over breakfast. I’d recommend the guest house without hesitation.
