Such a relaxing evening on the outdoor seating area, with a lovely view, great service and amazing food. It's super dog friendly too. The calamari starter was crispy, delicious and moreish. Pork belly was cooked to perfection, and the mash and vegetables were excellent. For dessert, the gluten free brownie wasn't too sweet, which balanced perfectly with its ice cream, and the sticky toffee pudding was perfect too. Definitely recommend this lovely place.

We first came for the Sunday roast and it was perfect, even our very fussy 8 year old loved it and asked for more. When we returned with a bigger group during the week, the pork belly and chicken chasseur were fantastic. The welcome was warm and family friendly. The owner was running the b&b and bar single handedly, with a chef handling the evening food, and both were friendly and happy to chat and make sure we were satisfied. Well worth a visit if you're nearby. We'll be back next time we're here!

We first stopped by for a drink while staying across the road. The patio was a lovely, relaxed place to sit, and there was a good choice of ales. We came back the next evening for dinner, and the menu was great. Our meal was excellent. It's such a welcoming place, and we'll book a stay here next time we visit. A+++

The food is nice, but it doesn't make up for how poor the service has become over the years. I saw the owners' reply to another review about someone asking for tap water. They seemed to shame that person into buying drinks to support them, which felt really uncomfortable and is another example of the service here. When you visit, the owners act like you've just broken into their home. I wouldn't come back.

The owners are such genuine, lovely people. We spent a good few hours chatting with them in the bar at the hotel, and enjoyed a lovely room and breakfast during our two-night stay. It's a great base, a short walk from several nice places to eat, the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway, and the area's amazing walking routes. Just stay here!!
