Coombe Farm

The quaint decor reminded me of the house I grew up in, and the rooms were very comfortable. Our host was lovely, the service was fantastic, and breakfast was delicious. If you want somewhere that feels like a home from home, this is the place. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely plan another visit. Thank you!

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was lovely, though it wasn't quite a Full English: there was bacon but no sausages or mushrooms, and marmalade but no jam. The farm is in a nice spot down in the valley. The shower cubicle needed some attention, but it worked fine once we got it going.

We enjoyed the twin room, especially the two comfortable chairs and the terrific breakfast. Fresh milk was brought each afternoon for tea and coffee, and the valley views were fabulous. My only reason for giving four stars was the outside seating: it was at the front of the farmhouse, looking onto the building works and some old barns. It would have been lovely to have seats at the back where you could enjoy the view.

I've stayed here several times over the years, with family and on my own, and it's always delightful. The hostess and everyone around the farm are welcoming and hospitable, and I'd absolutely recommend it. It's a charming country experience, though it is a working farm and the house is on the rustic side, so that may not suit everyone.
