We were a group of 11 and, despite being wary after some recent one-star reviews, ended up pleasantly surprised. The location is perfect, there were enough toilets so nobody had to wait in the morning, and the beds were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, with a large gas oven and two fridge freezers. A few showers didn’t work, though there were enough working ones that it wasn’t a major problem. Some room TVs were out of order, and the patio doors had no key so wouldn’t open. For the price, our large group was happy with a place by the beach that mostly met our needs. We’ll be back.

Horrible experience 😪 😢 The bedsheets were dirty, the mattresses were broken and in very bad condition, and there were spiders all over the rooms. The kitchen oven and washing machine didn’t work, and the carpet was in a miserable state. This is one of the worst properties we’ve visited in the UK. It needs a lot of work inside and out. Don’t book it, such a waste of time. We’re going to report it to the local council.

The only silver lining was the location right next to the beach. The house itself was rubbish, with a mouldy smell, spiders and cobwebs everywhere, and quilts missing. The heating didn’t work, and the beds were so horrible we had to sleep on the floor. I was totally shattered by the facilities.

The property was in shambles. The heating wasn’t working, and it was cold on the one night we were there. The bed was in such bad shape it wasn’t usable, and the floor squeaked and was cracked in places.

The wet room flooded, and that room was being used by 80 year olds, so it really wasn’t ideal. We also had rooms smelling of stale urine, loose mirrors and glass, dirty dining chairs, and curtains hanging off or that wouldn’t shut. Some lights didn’t work, the house was very damp and dated, and the bunk bed ladders were held on with Sellotape while a rug was taped down. We complained to Airbnb, but they said the hosts/owners refused to acknowledge the complaints. It’s a quirky house, but it needs a full revamp and money spent on it. I’d stay again if these issues were resolved.
