The Bacchus Hotel

We’ve stayed overnight twice in the past few weeks and enjoyed both visits. The breakfast was very good, and there’s food through the day, with plenty of lunch and evening choices at reasonable prices and good quality. Staff were friendly and helpful, the Baccus beers on draught were reasonably priced, and the place is centrally located in Sutton on Sea with its own parking. Check whether they have an offer, such as 2 nights for 1 in February or March. I’d stay again and would recommend it.

We came for the October 'Light Waves' show and had another enjoyable weekend. Booking direct got us a lovely breakfast included, and we’re hoping to stay again next year. It’s also a very eco-friendly hotel, with solar panels, heat pumps, and two EV charging points, with more being installed. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and the bar welcomes dogs. Thanks to everyone there.

We ate in the coffee lounge every evening, though we didn’t stay at the hotel. It’s a lovely room, thoughtfully laid out with tasteful, interesting decor, and being able to bring our dogs was a real bonus. The food was good, nicely presented and reasonably priced, with plenty for vegetarians. The veggie chilli was delicious and I’d thoroughly recommend it. Bar staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Orders had to be in by 7.30pm, a bit early, but it was fine. Thanks for adding to our holiday in Sutton.

The food is spot on, the rooms are always clean, and the staff are friendly. I’ve never had a bad word to say. Definitely recommend it for a meal or a stay, no complaints 🙂
