What stayed with me most was the atmosphere. I arrived on my own and left having made friends, thanks to the people there and the hospitality the team has built. Even with every room sold out, a full garden and a busy bar, the staff kept things moving with smiles and made me feel welcome. Kelly, the General Manager, had thoughtfully set me up at a quiet table for dinner. The meal was a real highlight: sole on the bone with chilli and caper butter and greens, plus cauliflower harissa. Both the food and the carefully chosen wine list were outstanding. The room was just as impressive, with a roll-top bath, lovely skincare and beauty products, luxurious linens and thoughtful details throughout. A warm member of staff showed me up when I arrived. The country pub and its beautiful garden made a great first impression as our taxi arrived. I’d just come from Babington House, and found The Bradley Hare better in many ways and much better value. I’ll be back for the food, rooms, service and lively atmosphere. The team behind the Beckford Group has made something special. 11 out of 10 for me.

We liked the food and service, and the stay was pleasant, though breakfast felt disorganised. A few guests had to remind staff about cooked breakfasts they’d already ordered. The layout of Room 3 was awkward for sharing: the bed sits in an alcove and can only be reached from one side, so one of us had to disturb the other to get in or out. Traffic noise at night also interrupted our sleep. Clearer directions from the car park to reception would help people arriving for the first time.

Katie deserves a special thank you. Our taxi cancelled at the last minute, and she stopped what she was doing to drive us to a wedding. The place itself was lovely too, with a beautiful setting, gorgeous building and bedrooms, helpful, friendly staff, delicious food and great value. Couldn't recommend it more.

Katie's kind, professional manner made an already lovely visit even better. From walking in to heading off, we felt warmly welcomed. The bar staff were attentive, and the young lad gave us amazing service. We'll be back.

We stopped in for lunch on our first visit to the Hare under its new ownership, and it was a memorable one. The venison was cooked perfectly, the sauce was lovely, and the flavours with the sides worked so well. Rhubarb Trifle made a perfect dessert. Great food and service, with just the right atmosphere. The Bradley Hare team has done a beautiful refurbishment and made us feel welcome. 11/10, we'll be back soon.
