Breakfast next door was adequate, and everything was clean and in very good condition. But there was almost no soundproofing from rooms above, below, or beside us, so I didn't get the good night's sleep I would've appreciated. The pillows were too thick, and the shower on the third floor had low pressure. It did the job, but the noise was a problem.

The restaurant and bar looked welcoming, though I couldn't stay for breakfast. The bathroom seemed recently redone, was clean, and had no mould around the grout or mastic. The king-size bed was comfortable, and extra pillows were welcome. There was a kettle with tea bags, UHT milk and two coffee sachets, but no biscuits, and just one USB port. For a quick night, the room was pokey, which is understandable for a Premier Inn, but the mostly dark brown colours made it feel even smaller and rather gloomy. The hallway was a bit grubby in places, though things were mainly clean. The rooms are basic, but if that's what you expect, there's nothing amiss with this inn.

I was here for one business night and would happily come back. Julian at reception was extremely helpful with my mobility issues, and the room was spotless and big enough for what I needed. The restaurant next door was just as good.

The location works well for Maidstone if you've got a car, and the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. By Premier Inn standards this one's quite nice, with the usual familiar feel and a few small differences. Parking was a struggle because spaces are limited and narrow. The pub next door played loud music until midnight, and breakfast was served to order rather than as a help-yourself buffet. I prefer a proper buffet, and there seemed to be enough room for one. I'd stay again, but get breakfast somewhere else in town.

We come back to this Wateringbury Premier Inn regularly and can't recommend it enough. Every member of staff has been lovely and welcoming to my partner and me. Sylvia, Sergio and Jack especially make the stay nicer with their friendly faces.
