We spent four nights here over Christmas and found it delightful. The grounds were lovely for a walk, the rooms were nicely furnished and well kept, and the staff were very pleasant. The hot tubs were perfect, though the speakers had been disabled because of earlier noise complaints. We didn’t think that was necessary, as we could play music at a good level and you couldn’t hear it at the end of the lodges’ walkway. Really nice lodges, and we’d happily return.

The bed was the main letdown. It had definitely seen better days, and I could feel every spring. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was really good. The rooms are huge, which works well for a family. There isn’t much nearby, though it’s handy for Sherwood forest and local walks. Restaurants, pubs and shops mean a drive.

The suite we stayed in was brilliant, and everyone was fabulous. Doreen, the manageress, went above and beyond. She called a taxi for us and chased it when it was late. When it never came, Alan from the bar drove us to the church without charging us. The food was great, breakfast included, and the lady who served us, whose name I didn’t catch, did it with great confidence. We’ve just got back from Redbrick house, and my wife and I are already trying to arrange a stay in one of the lodges. If you haven’t been, get there soon. Just brilliant.

Doreen and her team of waitresses, chefs and bar staff helped make our wedding day extra special. Our reception at Red Brick House was wonderful, and all our guests said how much they enjoyed the beautiful meal. Thank you.

We’ve eaten at the restaurant here twice while on our way to Sherwood Pines Forest Park. The venue is roomy enough that it doesn’t feel cramped, even with lots of guests, and there are several vegetarian options. Both times the staff were great and really friendly with the children, even though it was very busy on our first visit and they were short one person on the second.
