Mount View Cottage

Marazion can be hard for parking, so having a space right outside the house was a real help. It also makes a great base for exploring Cornwall, and we’d happily stay again. Thank you, Michelle! The views and access to walks are lovely, and the home has so many thoughtful touches: a washer and dryer, a spacious kitchen with plenty of supplies, USB wall chargers, games, fiction and guidebooks to borrow, and a roomy family bathroom. It’s set up well for adults, children, infants and dogs. What a wonderful holiday home, with every detail considered.

We loved the sunny terrace and the views, and could walk everywhere from the house. We’d never been to Marazion before, and found it had all the basics for a holiday. We managed to book meals out at the Fire Engine Inn and the Cutty Sark, and really enjoyed them. This was our first stay at Mount View after lockdown. Michelle and her staff had worked hard to make the holiday possible. The house was clean and well equipped, and we enjoyed the artwork, books and games. We’d highly recommend both the house and Marazion!

The setting is lovely, and this house lives up to it. Everything we needed was there, especially in the kitchen. From the double bedroom you can look over the Mount and watch the activity at sea. There are walks to nearby villages and pubs, a wood-burning stove in the lounge, and a relaxing place to sit and look out through the conservatory. The owner made it all easy, from a friendly welcome email to advice about places to visit. We’ll be back.

It was our first time at Mount View, though our eighth stay in Marazion. The cottage has room for couples or families, welcomes dogs and comes with parking. It’s right in town, handy for the shops, beach and pub. The views across Mounts Bay and of St Michaels Mount are amazing, not just little glimpses. It feels like a home from home, and we hope to return next year.
