The place has plenty of character, with an old-fashioned feel but modern comforts. The views are lovely, and the hosts are great. It makes a romantic base for the Derbyshire Peaks, Matlock and Bakewell. I’d recommend it to family and friends.

After a lovely walk, we stopped in for tasty bacon and egg rolls and great coffee. The service was attentive, and it’s dog friendly too. Glad I’m a local 😊

We found the cottage cosy and beautiful, with everything we needed and then some. The host was perfect, and the location was quiet and comfortable.

We were welcomed with wine and homemade Bakewell tarts. Straight away, it felt like a lovely place.
