Uta & Jason made us feel so welcome, and their beautiful home was a pleasure to stay in. We had a great time and would love to come back someday. I can't recommend the place enough.

We can't wait to return. The house is lovely, the rooms are really comfortable, and there were thoughtful welcoming touches. Uta & Jason were such warm hosts, and breakfast was excellent. A wonderful stay in a beautiful part of the world.

The two lovely dogs are a real treat to meet, and breakfast was delicious. Uta and Jason were always ready to help and felt more like friends than hosts. The place is gorgeous, even better than the photos, and the location is lovely. Having your own car would probably make getting around easier, though there are buses and taxis nearby.

The views are fantastic, the beds are comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. Our hosts were so warm that they made guests feel like friends. I've stayed in a lot of B&Bs, and this is easily one of the nicest. If you're after a beautiful area and lovely people, I can't recommend it highly enough.

We especially looked forward to the fresh fruit platter at breakfast, and there was a lovely range of other delicious choices too. Uta and Jason were generous with advice about exploring and places to eat. Bowden House is a hidden gem, beautifully furnished, with a lovely garden and wonderful views across the countryside and nearby hills. Our French Deluxe room was very comfortable, with a huge en suite and walk in shower. A gorgeous place for a short break in the Scottish Borders, and we'll stay again when we return to this fascinating area.
