The people are what make this guest house so memorable. Lorna and Martin were welcoming from the moment we arrived, made us feel at home, and were happy to help with anything. The place is spotless and tidy, and the garden has lovely views over the fields. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious too. We'd happily recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay here, with trips to Edinburgh via Scot Rail and to St Abb’s Head. Martin was a genial, thoughtful host, and the accommodation was both elegant and comfortable. Thoroughly recommended.

The rooms were the cleanest I've ever seen, and the peaceful area was lovely. We only had a short visit, but we'd definitely bring our children back for a few nights. The hosts were so kind, and when we asked for breakfast at 7am instead of the usual 8:30am weekend start, they made it happen. It was above and beyond, with fresh fruit, a smoothie, homemade croissants, tasty porridge and more. Broomfield country house beats five star hotels.

Martin made us feel so welcome and looked after. I've never stayed anywhere quite so friendly. Broomfields is a beautiful, comfortable, relaxing house, and our sociable visit was a real pleasure that we'll remember for a long time. It went beyond what we expected.

Martin's enthusiasm made it clear this place is his passion. He welcomed our film crew and went out of his way to keep us comfortable around our late finish and early start. Broomfields is a delightful property in a stunning spot. The coffee is incredible, and the mattresses were the most comfortable we've experienced, even though we stay in a lot of hotels. I'll come back with my partner next time I'm in the Borders. Great work!
