The staff were friendly and helpful, and both breakfast each morning and the food at the sister hotel across the road were excellent. My room was spacious and spotless, with a super comfortable bed. I'd definitely stay again.

The restaurant served the best steak I've had this year, and breakfast was proper food with decent sausages and bacon. The family-run hotel is superbly appointed, with comfortable rooms finished to a high standard and excellent service. There isn't a car park, but there are plenty of spaces outside. If they're full, the sister hotel directly opposite has a large car park at the rear. Book it, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be back.

I've eaten here a few times but haven't stayed overnight. The menu has a good choice, the food is nicely cooked and presented, and the staff and atmosphere are friendly. I saw another customer who wasn't happy, but they replaced her meal, which she finished, and didn't charge her.

We wandered in off the street on a Friday night and asked for a quiet corner where we could sit away from other diners with our nervous rescue dog. The staff were friendly and happy to accommodate us. We had a delicious meal and a lovely romantic evening, and it also gave our rescue a chance to get used to being out in public. Thanks for the kindness and hospitality. We'll see you next time we're back up north. A really memorable experience.

The rooms were quiet, warm and really comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. We had a lovely stay. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was really good too.
