We had a delicious breakfast, choosing the vegetarian option, with vegan food available too. The portions were generous, and the toast was cooked just right. The parking lot can get very busy, though I believe there's CCTV, which is a big plus. The cosy room was spotless and had all the basics, including a hair dryer, kettle, tea, coffee and water. Proper blinds and blackout curtains on the windows were great. We were welcomed into the bar area, which felt warm, friendly and very clean, and showed how much pride the owner takes in the business. This place is a gem 💎 and I'd definitely recommend a stay.

Claire was especially welcoming, and everyone we met was friendly. We were visiting the Brecon Beacons, so the location worked really well. When we said we had to leave early, they were happy to make us a sandwich to take with us instead of having breakfast there. There's free parking behind the hotel, which sits right on the road. The shower had good pressure and got properly hot, which matters a lot. There were vegetarian choices on the menu, and oat milk sachets in the room.

It was a shame we couldn't stay longer. The room had everything we needed and breakfast was great. The old pub has a friendly feel, thanks to the owners, and it's been restored with quality fittings. They couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was perfect.

The people were really lovely, and I was made to feel welcome. The food was beautiful, and I’d happily stay again if I’m back in the area. The room was small but clean and comfortable. It was the hottest day of the year, so even with the window open it was very warm, and that brought in quite a lot of road noise. Four stars feels a bit harsh, though I understand the circumstances, and a fan in such a small room might have been more of a hazard than a help.
