Our children loved the on-site park, and there’s plenty of parking. The lodge was very clean and comfortable, with a BBQ outside, and the views across to the famous Pen Y Fan were spectacular. The family who run it are so friendly. Being a short way from Bike Park Wale's mattered a lot for us. We’ll definitely return, there’s still plenty more adventure to have in the area.

Nigel and his wife are really friendly and helpful, and this was our second holiday here. The lodges are beautiful and self catering, with a cooker, so it felt a bit like a hotel stay. You get gorgeous scenery and a peaceful spot, while Bike Park Wales, the Taff Trail and other active things to do are close by. There are facilities to clean outdoor gear and a secure place to lock up bikes. We already want to come back. I can’t recommend it enough.

We came with family for the Six Nations in Cardiff and found the location handy, with good transport links. The lodge was very tidy when we arrived and the rooms had everything we needed. The bedroom was cosy, and I slept extremely well. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The owner was lovely and helpful throughout, and the location, area and view are all to die for. There were just two problems: cleanliness and maintenance. Spiders and cobwebs were everywhere, big and small, the bathroom sink was leaking, and the bedroom closet was broken with spiders inside. A little maintenance would make this a five star stay.

Up on the hill above Methyr, this is a nice lodge and a good base for Bike Park Wales or the Brecons. There’s bike storage and a hose if you need to wash your bike. The outdoor seating and BBQ are shared with the other two lodges.
