Travelodge Halifax

The staff were so welcoming and friendly, with great customer service. The building looks lovely from outside and the place is clean and tidy, but inside it's worn. The floorboards are uneven and some flooring is warped. Travelodge should put money into the property and give it a new lease of life, as it doesn't meet the standard of other Travelodges I've stayed in.

I slept amazingly, which was just what I needed as a very tired man, and I'd stay again. The room was decent. Two things to know: the nearby dual carriageway is pretty loud, and the room doesn't block the sound, though noise doesn't bother me. Also, the TV picture was awful, like an analogue signal. Those were the only downsides. Perfect sleep.

We came as two couples for an overnight stay while attending our family Christmas party. The rooms were immaculate and had everything we needed, and Bernie at reception was amazing. We'll be back.

The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and the bathroom had proper toilet rolls rather than individual tissues. There's no air conditioning, though a fan is provided. The former mill is in a fairly quiet area with plenty of parking. A very nice Thai restaurant is next door, and lots of other options are a short drive away.
