At £45, this was good value for somewhere to sleep for one night. I'd probably consider other places for a longer stay. The room was clean, though a bit tired and musty, and the bathroom was shared. Toiletries aren't supplied for the shower. It's within walking distance of the town centre, with plenty of parking and a massive beer garden overlooking the river.

At £45 a night, the place was OK for the price, though it's pretty run down. My room's main light didn't work, which was a pain, and there were huge dusty cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The woman at the bar was very friendly, and everything was straightforward.

I used to find this place acceptable for the price when I stayed four years ago, but the rooms and facilities felt dirty and worn out this time. The mattress was awful, with every spring noticeable, and the bathroom was dirty with a shower that barely worked. The kitchen was dirty too, and there was only a tiny fridge. I'd booked three nights, but after two I gave up and booked another hotel for the last night.

I paid 99 Pound, and it still wasn't good. The bathroom had black mould, and the windows had more black mould and rotting wood. There was a damp smell, the beds squeaked, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Dust sat on the lampshades. The walls were so hollow I could hear people talking and the TV. They call this a 4 star place, but to me it's more like one star, or no stars. I wouldn't stay again. I also took some photos.

Really friendly, with a great atmosphere.
