Kents Hill Park Training and Conference Centre

The peaceful, well-kept surroundings made it a lovely place to relax, stay or enjoy time together. It would suit family gatherings and group events too. The service was warm and attentive, and we felt genuinely welcome throughout our wonderful visit. Muhammed, the chef, was exceptionally friendly, professional and accommodating. His warm manner and excellent service added a personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. We left smiling and grateful.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, and Palraj deserves a special mention. He was covering both the bar and restaurant tables that evening, but still stayed attentive, courteous and professional. Dinner was delicious, with plenty of vegetarian choices, while breakfast was only average. We also liked the quiet outdoor seating area, pool and sauna. The spa jacuzzi was out of service during our visit, though. Our room was clean and comfortable but quite basic, with no air conditioning. Some equipment, including the ironing facilities, looked worn, so the hotel could use some refurbishment. It was a pleasant stay overall, thanks in large part to the service.

We’ve held our retreats at Kents Hill Park for the last two years, and each event has gone really well. The whole team has been friendly and supportive, from registration and the restaurant to conferences and general administration. The restaurant staff took time to go through the menu with us and accommodate our preferences where they could. The food was excellent, and the care they showed our group made a real difference. Thanks especially to Carl, Ajeesh and the rest of the team for the lovely meals and looking after us so well. I’d highly recommend Kents Hill Park Training and Conference Centre as a well-organized venue with a great team.

It’s a huge place, and Mohammed was very friendly and helpful. He told us there are around 100 conference rooms! The grounds are lovely and quiet, and we even had a couple of magpies chatting outside our room window this morning, which was nice. Our beds were really comfortable and the included breakfast was delicious. The hotel is a bit out of the way if you don’t drive, though. A taxi from the train station cost around £15, which wasn’t too bad.
