We spent a lovely week in this cosy thatched cottage. The bed was comfortable, and the wifi worked well, which helped when my husband had to work for a few days. It made a great staycation. Horses trotting through the village were what we woke up to. We went for long walks on Exmoor and explored nearby villages, then either ate at one of the two pubs or cooked at the cottage in the evenings. Definitely recommended.
Crown Cottage is in Exford, known as the heart of Exmoor, and puts you right in the middle of village life. Having a quiet country pub just across the road is really handy for a family break, even if that isn’t a major requirement for us.
My wife and I have been coming back for years. That probably says enough.
