We had a brilliant afternoon and evening celebrating Steve’s 60th birthday. The buffet, service and welcome were all fabulous. Thanks to Collette and the team, especially Alan the bar star. I highly recommend it!

I’d give the service zero stars if I could. The landowner was extremely rude and I felt she lied to us. She complained about the fire doors, which should shut properly, and about apparent noise complaints. Her dog threatened to bite me. I was shocked. She needs to learn how to treat customers. Thanks for replying. I’d call it lucky that we weren’t removed from the premises. You shouted at our door and caused me to have a panic attack. I’m now left with a panic attack hangover, and our holiday was ruined. We weren’t planning to return after the unpleasant greeting, so the ban wasn’t a concern. You also nearly hit my dad. Upstairs, all I could hear was your TV and your dog. We cared about your security, but the fire doors not shutting properly wasn’t our fault. When did I apparently shout at you, and what did I say? I’ll report this to the local council of Minehead. Are you not going to reply to me? Are you scared to answer? I’m shocked by the unprofessional response and don’t believe the claim about winning WON 4 IN A BED. More like the worst B&B owner award.

An old-looking building, with free wi-fi and food available. When I visited, there was only one real ale and one cider on hand pump. The ale cost £2.40 for a half.

Collette and her staff made us feel very welcome during our stay in the family suite with its balcony and sea views. The breakfast was lovely too. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at this stunning place, and I’d recommend it to everyone. Thanks for having us.
