Gill, the owner, gave us such a warm welcome. This charming cottage is 400 years old and has all the facilities you could need, plus a tasty breakfast. A lovely, cosy place to stay in Porlock. I’d recommend it to anyone after an old-fashioned B&B with character.

Gill made sure we were well looked after, and the cottage is lovely. The pub, convenience store and restaurants are all just a couple of minutes away on foot. The area is delightful, too. They had precautions in place for the worldwide virus situation at the time, including social distancing and antibacterial hand cleaner, so we felt there was no need to worry. Definitely worth staying here when you’re in the area. We’ll almost certainly be back. Thanks!

Breakfast can be whatever you fancy, from cereal to a full English. The owners are wonderful and helpful, and nothing seems too much trouble. It’s a really lovely B&B, warm and comfortable, almost in the middle of the village, with everything about 0.2 of a mile away.

Sadly, we only stayed one night. The room was spacious, very comfortable and had everything we might need. The owner was friendly and hospitable, and served an excellent breakfast with loads of choices. Highly recommended.

Gill is really friendly and makes a fab breakfast. I loved my room during my two-night stay here on a recent cricket tour. I’ll be back.
