Tudor Cottage

It was hard to leave this warm, spotless and relaxing cottage in such a beautiful location. I loved falling asleep to the sound of rain. Sandra and Martin are excellent hosts, a rare find, and both the breakfasts and evening meals were delicious. We visited in late September and even got to sit in the garden and catch some sunshine.

The beach is about a 15 minute walk away, and it's all very large stones, so it'll be peaceful. Our visit fell during a heatwave, and I spent more time in the garden than in the rooms, which are in a house built to retain heat. The cottage itself is very clean and tidy, in brilliant surroundings, and run by a lovely, knowledgeable lady who's keen to please. The rooms were beautifully furnished, though a little too quaint for my taste. The hot water was far too hot, though perhaps that's intended to stop people using too much. Breakfast was nice, with good quality local produce and great homemade bread. The eggs were tiny, so you may want to order two. No hesitation in recommending the accommodation.

A cute country cottage in a lovely remote village, and a good base for exploring the wider Exmoor area. My room felt cozy and rustic, breakfast was tasty, and Sandra was a friendly, helpful host. There's parking at the back of the property, and a quiet pebble beach is only a 10 minute walk away.

We came for the countryside and walks, which were absolutely fantastic, and the breakfast was superb too. The hosts were a lovely couple who went out of their way to help when my wife hurt her back. We'll definitely return once she's fully recovered.
