Moffat Manor Holiday Resort

The lake views first thing in the morning were stunning, and the site was peaceful and well looked after, with clean pitches and friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. The clubhouse shop came in handy a few times. We spent a brilliant weekend here with the family. We got takeaway from the tavern on a couple of nights, the chilli loaded chips were unreal and the kids loved the pizza. Rabbits hopping about kept them entertained, and Moffat was easy to explore, just a short drive or a decent walk away. There was a small water problem one morning, but the team sorted it quickly and gave us bottles without any fuss. A really relaxing break, and we’ll definitely be back. Five stars.

The staff were wonderful, a great team who went above and beyond to look after us. The bar and restaurant were fantastic, and the site itself was beautiful, with a large lake and phenomenal views.

We were on holiday with friends, but the loggies were very dirty. There was dust everywhere, including behind the beds and on the skirting boards, and the bathroom and dishes were dirty too. The cleaners need to be changed or taught how to do the job.

The park was closed, but my granddaughter and I made our own fun, splashing in the pothole puddles and racing boats in the stream beside our caravan. The weather wasn’t great, but with wellies and warm coats we had the best time. We loved the walks around the lake to feed the ducks and see the horses. Our caravan was beautiful, and we’d been upgraded to a stunning eight-berth with a large kitchen and two bathrooms. The staff are lovely. A beautiful place to visit, and we’ll definitely be back.
