John, the owner of Kirkview House, made us feel like important guests from the start of our visit through breakfast the next morning and our goodbyes. He's welcoming and engaging, and we had a lovely, memorable stay. We'll see you again some time, John! The bedroom is full of character, on the third floor of a Georgian Townhouse, with the whole floor to yourself. The facilities are there if you want them, and breakfast was spot on. Don't expect a fried breakfast. If you love poached or scrambled eggs, you're in for a treat. We're not typical B&B stayers, but after reading reviews across various platforms, we thought, 'why not'. We were really rewarded. If you're a couple or solo traveller looking to stay in lovely Moffat, please consider Kirkview House.

The rooms were flawlessly clean, and John clearly puts a lot of effort into making guests feel welcome. He was a most welcoming host and went out of his way for us. We'll definitely be back. Thanks, John!

The room at Kirkview House was superb, clean, well appointed, and had a very comfy bed and a fantastic view from the window. There was also a huge, very clean private bathroom with everything you need. The house is beautiful, full of history, character, and lovely artwork. John was a wonderful host, helpful and lovely to talk to, and made an excellent breakfast. We had a lovely night's stay and look forward to coming back when we're travelling to the Highlands. John's breakfast was absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients, with plenty of toast and a great range of teas. He's a fantastic host. We had a great chat and laughs, and he felt like a long lost friend. The house is beautiful, light, and immaculate, and so peaceful and quiet. I slept so well on that comfortable bed that I'm actually trying to find out where to get one for my own house. I hope to return!

John is a warm, helpful Scottish host and knows a lot about the house and local history. Robbie Burns visited when the house was the church minister’s house. It's a superb B&B, full of character and immaculately restored with care by John. The bedroom, bathroom, and breakfast are all presented privately and are amazing. Excellent stay, we'll return!
