The bed, the sleep, and the food were all enjoyable, which made the rest of the experience a shame. I had friendly service from check-in through breakfast to check-out, though I did have to wait briefly for someone to arrive and help me check in. There was no shampoo, and I don't remember seeing a warning about that on the website. If I had, I could have brought my own. I tried to make do with the soap, but when I unfolded a towel, I saw something crawling on it. I think it was a cockroach, and after that I couldn't bring myself to shower, so I waited until I got home.

The place was freezing and had no atmosphere. The food was poor quality despite the high prices, and it wasn't what the pictures on the website and Facebook showed. They should give up serving food.

I was there for work for two weeks, and the staff made it a really nice stay. They couldn't do enough for me, and the food was great. That Hiller club sandwich is to die for, and if you want something smaller, the Hiller stack is yum, yum, and more yum. There's a bar on site, a beer garden, and ample parking, though it can get busy. I like staying somewhere with personality and such nice people. You can keep Travelodge, I'll have the Hiller. I'll definitely try to stay again.

We had a lovely dinner with the family, with excellent food and service from the moment we arrived. The room was clean and well presented, and we had a lovely overnight stay.

There's a big For Sale sign outside, so from a distance it looks closed. Fortunately, it's still open and serving food and drinks.
