We booked twin room number 115 for its lovely sea view. It was very clean, though the bathroom was a little cramped, and the reception staff welcomed us warmly. Parking across the road was available for £9 for 24 hours. I would stay again, but skip breakfast: service was very slow, several basic items had run out and we had to ask for them, and the cooked meal wasn't very tasty.

As a solo disabled traveller, I was grateful for how helpful the receptionist was. The lift was out of order after a previous guest misused it, so I was given a ground-floor room and continental breakfast delivered to me there. The receptionist went to great lengths to make my stay enjoyable. Thank you, I'll definitely return.

The hotel isn't the most polished, but the service is what makes it, especially the excellent welcome at check-in. The evening restaurant staff were great too. Rooms are small and basic. Parking is limited and costs £10, though there's a small car park across the road for £9.50. If you're nearby on the last Thursday of the month, the curry club is worth a visit.

The staff were friendly, helpful and always smiling, which really matters to me. We stayed one night while heading south. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, with good bedding. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked with good produce. I’d definitely recommend it.

The hotel is lovely and in a great location, and the receptionist was welcoming and helpful. The bar staff could use some etiquette training, though. One young woman kept telling us all about her problems without being asked, so our evening wasn't as relaxing as I'd hoped.
