Windermere Lodge

We spent four days here on a £9.50 Sun holiday and were pleased with the accommodation. It was spotless when we arrived, and reception were so welcoming they even called about 40 minutes after check-in to see if everything was okay. We thought that was a lovely touch. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals before heading to the nearby beach. Shops and cafés are along the promenade, too. We all loved the heated pool; the changing rooms were a little small, but it wasn’t a big deal. We’d love to come back soon. Thanks, everyone!

Our last-minute stay would have been five stars, but no one told us on arrival that we needed to book activities for the kids ahead of time. We booked the night before, then were simply handed the keys and a map to the caravan. Because we weren’t given the information, we couldn’t take part in any activities or swimming. The bar and caravan were perfectly fine, and all the staff were lovely.

My son was visiting this family-run holiday park with his grandparents when he became unwell and was taken to hospital on the first day. The staff checked in with his grandparents to ask how he was doing, then offered to put a little something together for him. I’m very grateful for their generosity and compassion towards my son. Thank you so much. I highly recommend the park.

We had a great time, and there’s lots to do in the area. The staff were lovely and the place was clean, but it was very dated, with stained furniture and trims hanging off. Facilities were limited. The outdoor play area was tiny, off the bar, and only suitable for small kids. The pool was small but well managed.
