The Frampton Arms

We’ve moved to the area for work, and since this pub is within walking distance we’ve already been twice. The Sunday roast was one of the best we’ve ever had, and we also went back for a Friday evening meal. Prices are good, portions are generous, and all the staff gave amazing service. We’ll definitely return. Many thanks to everyone.

The food was delicious, with generous portions and enough choice on the menu. About 20 of us came for lunch after a funeral, and the preordered dishes arrived efficiently. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Once we were seated, the small room was comfortable, but fitting everyone in was a squeeze. There seemed to be plenty of parking. If it were near home, we’d visit regularly. One concern: the lavatory door locks can’t be opened from outside in an emergency.

The station is across the road, which makes this a great place to stay when travelling by train. I chose it because Monkey World and Bovington Camp are less than 10 minutes away. The place was really clean, and the buffet breakfast was nice and simple. I’d have liked peanut butter as an option, though I understand the need to be mindful of allergies. I stayed just one night and only had breakfast, but the food being served smelled really good.

The gardens are lovely, with a play area to keep the children busy while you catch up with family. We met some relatives here this evening and thought the food was fab, worth every penny. 10/10 for the food.
