We slept extremely well in this quiet spot, with ample parking and an easy walk into town for restaurants and a drink. Jacqui looked after us so well, with thoughtful touches in the room, a large comfortable bed and a great shower. The furniture suited the Moors setting, and the B&B is just on the edge of one of our favourite Dartmoor villages. Breakfast was amazing: good quality granolas, cereals, jams and sauces, plus great coffee, juices, fruit and toast made with delicious thick slices of bread. Thanks, Jacqui. We'll be back. Five big stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I didn't want to leave this gem in Devon! Jacqui and Robin were wonderful hosts, and the food, rooms and little touches were all outstanding. There are lovely drives and walks nearby, and we had a great meal at The Union Pub too. Definitely coming back.

We've stayed here three times before and have come back again, using it as a base to explore Devon and Dartmoor. It's quite possibly one of the best guesthouses in the UK. There are several great places to eat within walking distance in town, with more just a short drive away. All the lovely things people say about Jaqui, her breakfasts and the accommodation are true.

Jacky, the owner and host, was so kind and friendly. The room was very comfortable, with a shower and a big bathtub in the bathroom, and the decor throughout felt chic and welcoming. Breakfast was fresh, tasty and just the right amount, with warm croissants and pain au chocolat. Good local restaurants and pubs are all within walking distance. We spent two nights at Cookshayes and really enjoyed our stay before returning to London. Thank you for your great hospitality, we'd love to come back!

We had use of the lovely garden, and the rooms were beautiful, clean and tastefully decorated. Jacqui and Robin were lovely, attentive hosts, and they have such a lovely place. Highly recommend staying here!
