Breakfast was amazing, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely overnight visit, with a clean, lovely room. Can’t wait to come back.

We ate at The White Hart three times during our 16 nights touring in our caravan, with Moretonhampstead the nearest small town. The Sunday roast was the best we’d had in ages, with hot, perfectly cooked meat and vegetables and gravy granny would be proud of. James, the owner, was always about serving drinks and meals and had time for a chat. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The decor has real flair, suits the delightful building and is finished to a high standard. James and his partner should be proud of this lovely hotel, bar and restaurant. Dogs are welcome even in the restaurant, which is a big bonus.

We found this lovely place by chance, and what a find. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful, and the Sunday roast was the best we’d had in a long time. Nothing to fault. Thank you. ❤️

We really enjoyed our three night stay in the middle of a wet, wild November. The room felt comfortable and homely, and the homemade shortbread was a nice touch. The hotel has a cosy country feel and lovely decor. I understand the new owners renovated it over the past year. Everyone was very friendly, and breakfast was one of the best freshly cooked full English meals I’ve had in ages. We also ate in the restaurant on our first night, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. There’s no hotel parking, so we used the Station Road car park about 30 metres away, which costs £4.50 for 24 hours. It’s a handy base for Dartmoor and nearby places. We drove 55 minutes to RHS Rosemoor, and it was well worth the trip. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
