Liam, the hotel manager, is an absolute gentleman. I had clothes that needed washing, and he offered to wash and dry them at the hotel. The place is warm and charming, with loads of character, and there are pubs and places to eat within walking distance. It’s a five-minute walk from the train station, well priced, and great value for what’s offered. If I travel through Motherwell again, I’m definitely staying here.

A tiny castle hotel? Yes, please! The staff gave our group hot breakfasts, with a full Scottish breakfast on the first day. For the next few days we were busy kayaking, so Liam made us sandwiches to go. Great staff and outstanding customer service. They were doing some remodeling, but the brand new bed was super soft and I slept like a baby. It’s a short walk to the train, shops, and restaurants, and great value. Thanks, Liam, for a great stay!
