The Old Stables

We had two rooms, and both were spotless, comfortable, well equipped, and had really good shower rooms. There were plenty of towels and loo rolls too. The kitchenette made sorting our own breakfast easy, with a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, table and chairs, tea towels, washing-up liquid, and crockery. They also left tea, coffee, decaf, biscuits, and milk, which was a nice touch. Plenty of places to eat nearby as well. A lovely place for a couple of nights in the area. My only tiny suggestions would be a separate recycling bin and an email a week ahead explaining that the key safe codes come on the morning of arrival. Thanks for a great stay!

I almost don’t want to praise this place, in case it gets busier and I can’t book next time I’m nearby. The rooms are beautifully presented and really clean, with great toiletries and drinks in the fridge. Better than any hotel I’ve stayed in, and such good value.

The hosts were so accommodating. They texted on our arrival day with instructions for getting in and the gate code, and even suggested restaurants. The room was just like the photos, gorgeous and very clean. We’d definitely stay again.

The arrival messages were clear and really helpful, and we appreciated the little extras, especially the decaf coffee. The place had everything we needed and the facilities were excellent, with lots of thoughtful details. My husband, our infant son, and I all had a lovely stay. Thanks so much, we’ll be back!
