Guinevere

The harbour and the little cave made this stay especially memorable. We swam safely there, keeping clear of the fishing boats and following National Trust rules, and found that the cave leads to a secluded beach when the tide is between middle and low. We also tried Coasteering and Stand-up Paddle boarding with Lizard Adventures, right in Mullion Cove harbour, which added even more to the holiday. Guinevere’s position is spectacular. The two front bedrooms look over Mullion Cove harbour, every bedroom has en-suite access, and the mostly enclosed balcony was lovely for relaxing and drying wet sports gear on the provided drying horses. Parking beside the building was convenient, and the warm outdoor shower and short hose made rinsing off after time in the sea easy. We come to Cornwall every year and have stayed in lots of places with our child and pet. They’ve all been fabulous, but Guinevere really stood out. Check-in at the main hotel was easy, and we got to see the spa and pool. Hotel and apartment guests can use the beautifully done spa facilities. We went several times, and loved that children could use the pool from 3-6pm, plus in the mornings during the summer holidays. The apartment is beautiful, well maintained by the Mullion Cove Hotel, thoughtfully laid out and stocked with everything we needed, including some basics. We only needed to bring food, and arrived to a lovely cream tea, which was a wonderful surprise. We had no issues, but help is there if needed. I almost want to keep Guinevere to myself, but it’s too good not to share.
