The Bandstand

Dinner was a highlight, especially the steak my husband said was the best he’d ever had. Breakfast was lovely too, with a full Scottish for him and French toast with fruit for me. We had such a warm welcome from everyone, and our cosy, comfortable room had a bay window looking out over the Moray Firth. The beach is right nearby, with Nairn Harbour and RSPB Cublin Sands a short walk away. There was live music and a great feel in the bar. Thanks to Paul and the team, we can’t wait to come back. x

The service was really good and the hotel itself was fine. My room was tiny, though, with just a single bed. I asked if I could move, but the hotel was fully booked.

We loved being able to walk down to the beach in the morning and look for dolphins and other sea life. The oystercatchers running over the lawn were fun to watch too. There was music in the pub that night, and the staff found us a quieter room even though we liked hearing the music. Getting to the airport in the morning was quick and easy. The room was spotless, with lovely water views, a sparkling bathroom, great linens and a comfortable bed. We slept better than we had anywhere else in Scotland. The hot shower had loads of water, and the French press and lighted makeup mirror were nice touches. It was absolutely worth the price. We had dinner in the pub, and everything came out hot and delicious. I had fish and chips, while my husband had steak and ale pie and pulled pork dirty fries. Book a table. Breakfast was filling and very good as well, so both meals were well worth having as part of the stay. It’s a great spot in Nairn, close to the airport, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The food and entertainment were great too. So glad we found this place, we’d definitely come back if we’re in Scotland again.

We’ll be back. The conservatory had a lovely sea view, and we enjoyed lunch and beers there. My husband’s fish and chips and my salad were both tasty and generous portions. There was a great range of cask ales, along with some interesting keg beers.
