Summat Else B & B

The location is ideal, an easy walk into the lovely town of New Quay. Our room was spacious, well kept and stocked with a wide range of teas, coffees and biscuits. Hilary was welcoming and helpful throughout, and nothing seemed to be a problem. She even arranged an earlier cooked breakfast for our early start, and it was delicious. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

A lovely return visit to the B&B run by Hilary and John, and their gorgeous Rufus. The owners are wonderful, the food is top quality and the room is so comfortable. It’s just a short drive to Newquay beach, with plenty of places to visit nearby. Highly recommended, it feels like a little bit of Welsh heaven.

We spent two nights here for a family wedding and had a really enjoyable stay in a part of Wales we didn’t know. Hilary was welcoming and helpful, and the B&B was spotless. I’d highly recommend it.

The location worked well for us, with plenty of parking and an easy walk to the beach and town centre. We stayed four nights with our corgi, who was welcomed with treats and lots of enthusiasm. He loved it. The refurbished B&B felt inviting, and our double room had enough room for his crate and all our bags. It also had an ensuite. We had towels, a hairdryer, kettle, teas, instant coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, all topped up by Hilary as needed. Fresh milk was in the shared fridge on the landing, with chilled water available for warmer days. Breakfast was a highlight. We enjoyed the cereals and a faultless cooked breakfast, with yoghurt, porridge, fresh fruit and other choices too. When we mentioned our mini-moon, Hilary kindly surprised us with a bottle of bubbly. Such a thoughtful touch. We'd stayed at Summat Else B&B before the change in management, and it has definitely improved. Thanks for having us, Hilary and John, and Rufus! We'd happily recommend it.
