Deincourt Hotel

Roy made us feel like royalty, and the service was excellent. The bar was a highlight, with a pool table and a nice steel tip dart board with nice darts. Food was excellent too, and breakfast was a thoughtful spread, typical English style, with dishes kept in a warming cupboard. They even offered to make eggs fresh to order. Rooms were clean and functional, and the beds comfortable, though some new pillows might be due. The bathroom was clean as well, but the plumbing fixtures need updating. We were very pleased with our stay and would come back. Roy was amazing, that man needs a raise!

The location is perfect, right in the middle of town, with only a short walk to the centre and plenty of places nearby. Staff were friendly and more than accommodating. My room was very clean, and the bed was lovely and comfortable, so I slept undisturbed. The food was excellent too. What a lovely hotel. I’d definitely recommend it and will stay again.

Free parking, great staff, good food and a nice bar area. The rooms were spacious, clean and lovely. A lovely hotel!

The Deincourt has become our go-to Newark hotel when we visit family nearby. We stayed overnight on 5/7/25, at least our sixth visit, and have used both the main building and the second one across from the entrance. January and her team are helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are no-frills but have all you need, at a reasonable rate. The food keeps getting better, and I recommend eating in. Breakfast is top notch, and the well-stocked bar serves a superb pint of Guinness and local real ale. A nice touch is that they insist on bringing drinks to your table. Ignore any negatives, it’s fantastic for the price, and updating old buildings takes time. We’ll be back.
