The Dolphin

A warning if you use the Dolphin car park. I parked there in August 2025, went into the pub, and entered my registration on the tablet at the end of the bar. Everything seemed fine, and I was there for about an hour. About three weeks later, I got a parking fine. At first I thought it was a hoax, then realised it was real. I disputed it through the Civil Enforcement website and also spoke to two people at the Dolphin. One called me the next day and said Civil Enforcement would accept £35 as a goodwill gesture. I told them I wouldn’t pay anything because I’d done nothing wrong. The fine has now risen to £170, and they say they’ll get me a CCJ if I don’t pay. I don’t owe it, and I won’t pay, even if they’re trying to bully me. Be careful if you park there. I won’t be going back.

Cam and the staff were brilliant, always ready to help and accommodating with my needs. The venue was great, the bar staff were great, and the beer was great too. My room was lovely and opened straight onto a great patio. Cheers, Cam, you’re the man 👊

Breakfast was easy to sort yourself and really tasty, and the staff and hosts were friendly and helpful. I loved the comfy bed and the lovely deep bath too. It’s in a great spot for a wander, and the cold drinks and delicious pizza rounded off the stay nicely.

The venue was lovely, and the food was great. We were there for my daughter’s 18th two weeks ago, and the staff really went out of their way for us. Thank you so much.
