Bentinck Apartments

The welcome was lovely, and the guys checking us in were incredibly helpful with ideas for what to do during our visit. They left croissants, milk, juice, coffee, tea and more, which was a nice touch. The apartment was beautifully renovated and styled, and spotlessly clean. Even the towels smelled properly clean, like fabric softener rather than a commercial laundry. We loved our night at Bentick Apartments and only wished we'd stayed longer. It was the best place we stayed during our four weeks in the UK/Ireland. We'd definitely return and recommend it. Don't be put off by the small number of reviews, it's pretty new.

The owner let us check in earlier than expected, which we really appreciated. When we noticed there was no hairdryer, we contacted them and one was brought to the room straight away. The customer service was impressive. We spent two nights here for our Silver Wedding anniversary. The one-bedroom apartment was nicely decorated, very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Newcastle City centre is very handy from here, and we'd happily return.

We had a really enjoyable stay and would come back. The apartments were modern, spacious, clean and in a handy spot: close enough to the centre for days and nights out, but far enough away for a good night's sleep. There was parking at the property, which was a bonus, and tea, coffee and snacks were provided. The little kitchen was well equipped if you want to eat in.

The room itself was clean, equipped and fine, though it got a bit hot. I couldn't sleep with the windows open because of the local idiots driving around with popping, banging exhausts. The main road brings noise all night: groups of drunks shouting and car exhausts that literally shook the flat. That's not the apartments' fault, but I think the location makes the price too high. I'd rather pay less to sleep better at a Premier Inn, or stay a little farther out of town.
